A New BBQ Spot Worth Checking Out
There’s a fairly new BBQ place in Bahía de Caráquez that’s absolutely worth a visit. It’s still flying a little under the radar, but that probably won’t last long.

Location, Views, and Vibe
The location is a big part of the appeal. It sits right on the Río Chone, directly on the water and right in front of the bridge. You get great views, a relaxed riverside breeze, and an overall laid-back ambiance that makes it an easy place to hang out for the evening.

Food and Prices
The food is solid and reasonably priced, with most dishes falling between $4 and $10. They offer a variety of different meats, all cooked BBQ-style and served hot off the grill. One thing you should absolutely add to your order is the moro—a cheesy rice and corn mix that pairs perfectly with the meats. It’s simple, filling, and honestly one of the highlights.
The dish pictured above was a pork chop, and it came in at just $6. For the portion size, quality, and location, it’s hard to beat. It’s the kind of spot where you leave full, satisfied, and thinking, yeah, that was a good call for dinner.
Hours and Timing Tips
They open around 6:30 PM and serve until they sell out, which can happen quicker than you might expect. We showed up at 8:00 and they were already out of chicken. By the time we left a little after 9:00, people were still arriving, hoping to get lucky.
If you want the full menu and an easy shot at a table, get there early. Show up too late and you’ll likely be waiting—or settling for whatever hasn’t sold out yet.

Side Note: The house for sale listed below is located just one block away from this restaurant—an easy walk for BBQ nights and riverfront views without even needing the car.
